TiE DC offers two categories of membership:

• Emerging Entrepreneur and Professional Membership: We launched this program to better understand who in our region shares our passion for innovation and sense of fearlessness. EEP members will be the cornerstone of our 2006 programming - to surface ideas worthy of possible investment and elevate skills necessary to succeed in an increasingly competitive market.
  
  As background, we've shared a few benefits you will earn should you choose to join or rejoin us:
  
  Professional Development: EEP members are entitled to apply for our "VC Feedback" event; participants will have the opportunity to pitch the region's leading VCs in a safe and learning environment to better prepare for the real thing.
  
  Second, EEP members are eligible for the well-received "TiE-Smith Fellowship" - a joint venture between TiE-DC and the University of Maryland's Smith School of Business. Our first dozen fellows have made tremendous strides elevating their performance and we are fully committed to future cohorts.
  
  Third, EEP members are exclusively invited to participate in TiE-DCs "Mentorship" program - a combination of monthly brunches with the region's most successful entrepreneurs, as well as a "Big Brother/Big Sister"-like matching program connecting EEPMs with Charter Members.
  
  Marketing Support: EEP members are eligible for profile in our soon-to-be launched monthly newsletter with distribution across our entire database. Second, EEPMs are eligible for profile on our www.tie-dc.org website.
  
  Financial Advantage: As with all membership programs, you are entitled to a sharp discount on all events where we require an admission fee. EEP members will receive $20 off any admission fee for all TiE-DC open networking events.
  
  Access: Last, but not least, we will continue our programming catering to our most successful members. EEP members will receive preferential consideration for invitations to more exclusive events organized throughout the year with the region's most prominent leaders.
  2006 membership fees are $150.00.
• Charter Membership: This category of membership is by invitation only. All candidates must already be Executive Members and must have distinguished themselves among their peers through their special efforts in mentorship and their entrepreneurial spirit. Charter members must be approved by TiE-DC's Board of Directors. Charter members benefit from all the privileges of Executive Membership, but also are called upon to contribute their talents to other TiE members for the purpose of fostering entrepreneurship. Charter members also have the ability to access each other through the TiE global network as well as local "Charter Member Only" events, thereby providing enhanced networking benefits. Annual Charter member fees are $1500.
